چکیده

Abstract Corneal neovascularization (CNV) causes higher-order aberrations, corneal edema, ocular inflammation, and transplant rejection, thereby decreasing visual acuity. In this study, we investigated the effects of topical administration kappa opioid receptor agonist nalfurafine (TRK-820) on CNV. To induce CNV, intrastromal sutures were placed stroma BALB/c mice for 2 weeks. Nalfurafine (0.1 µg/2 ?L/eye) was topically administered to cornea once or twice daily after CNV induction. The score, immune cell infiltration, mRNA levels angiogenic pro-inflammatory factors in neovascularized corneas evaluated using slit-lamp microscopy, immunohistochemistry, flow cytometry, polymerase chain reaction. expression gene Oprk1 significantly upregulated following Topical suppressed lymphangiogenesis, as well reduced corneas. Moreover, numbers infiltrating leukocytes, neutrophils, macrophages, interferon-?-producing CD4 + T cells demonstrated that local a mouse model along with activation KOR, suggesting may prevent control humans.

Netrin-1 simultaneously suppresses corneal inflammation and neovascularization.

PURPOSE To investigate the effect of netrin-1 on alkali burn-induced corneal inflammation and neovascularization. METHODS The expression of netrin-1 and its receptors UNC5A, UNC5B, UNC5C, UNC5D, adenosine 2b receptor (A2BAR), deleted in colorectal cancer (DCC), and neogenin in normal and alkali-burned rat cornea were determined by RT-PCR and/or Western blot analysis, or immunostaining. GR89,696 is a kappa-2 opioid receptor agonist and a kappa-1 opioid receptor antagonist in the guinea pig hippocampus.

Receptor binding studies and electrophysiological studies demonstrated the existence of at least two kappa opioid receptors, which have been designated kappa-1 and kappa-2. Several agonists and antagonists are selective for the kappa-1 receptor whereas no known ligands are selective for the kappa-2 receptor. In this study, the kappa opioid GR89,696 was tested in the guinea pig hippocampal slice...

Orvinols with Mixed Kappa/Mu Opioid Receptor Agonist Activity

Dual-acting kappa opioid receptor (KOR) agonist and mu opioid receptor (MOR) partial agonist ligands have been put forward as potential treatment agents for cocaine and other psychostimulant abuse. Members of the orvinol series of ligands are known for their high binding affinity to both KOR and MOR, but efficacy at the individual receptors has not been thoroughly evaluated. In this study, it i...

Topical bevacizumab therapy for corneal neovascularization.

Angiogenesis has been defined as the formation of new blood vessels from preexisting vascular structures. Corneal neovascularization (NV) occurs when the balance between angiogenic and antiangiogenic factors shifts toward angiogenic factors. Vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) has been found to be a significant angiogenic factor in corneal NV in human and animal models. Therapy specifical...
